Overview

 

This Content Marketing Executive role supports delivery of audience-first written content that is tailored for channels such as email, advertising, social media and print.

 

The role is part of our Marketing team and will be responsible for creating and proof-reading copy for a variety of audiences including prospective students, academics and external stakeholders. The role requires a highly motivated creative writer who can write engaging and effective content and bring forward ideas to develop existing communications to better meet the needs of the audience.

 

The role plays a key part in understanding and implementing the University’s tone of voice and the role-holder will also be confident in planning and delivering prospective student email campaigns. In return, they’ll work collaboratively with some of the most inspiring students and academics to enhance the University’s global reputation.

 

Main duties and responsibilities

 

  • Write inspiring and informative copy for email, web, social and print which aligns with the information needs of audiences at various points in their journey.
  • Continually work with and implement our tone of voice which reflects the personality and values of the University.
  • Interpret content/information needs from different areas of the university and collaborate with peers to develop content which best resonates with audiences.
  • Apply effective project management skills to ensure successful timely delivery of multiple requests for creative copy.
  • Act as proof-reader and “extra pair of eyes” across the department.
  • Populate templates with agreed messaging, working closely with Recruitment Development and Marketing teams to align with planned marketing activity and the technical requirements of our CRM systems.
  • Act as a brand guardian, driving appropriate usage and messaging by ensuring accurate and consistent representation within the brand and reputation guidelines, to create a clear, confident, consistent voice with correct use of visual ID.
  • Any other duties as required including attendance at events and other critical business activity throughout the year including evenings and weekends.
