Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator to join our team and lead our marketing automation initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in transforming our marketing strategies by leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud's robust capabilities. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and optimise marketing automation solutions that align with our business objectives. Experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud is essential, as you will be instrumental in driving the execution of targeted and personalised marketing campaigns across multiple channels.

As a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator, you will collaborate closely with our Marketing, Admissions, Recruitment and Communications department to understand their unique requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Platform Ownership: Take ownership of the Salesforce platform, ensuring it meets the needs of the organisation.
  • Marketing Cloud Implementation: Assist with the design, implementation, and configuration of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions to meet marketing automation objectives.
  • Campaign Management: Develop and execute marketing campaigns leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Audience Builder.
  • Data Integration: Integrate Salesforce Marketing Cloud with other systems to ensure seamless data flow and synchronisation.
  • Consulting and Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand ongoing marketing requirements and translate them into technical solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Training and Support: Provide both in-person and remote training as well as ongoing support to marketing teams on Salesforce Marketing Cloud functionalities and best practices.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Develop reports and dashboards in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to measure campaign effectiveness and provide actionable insights.
  • Continuous Improvement: Work closely with our Marketing/Communications and IT stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Carry out other duties, commensurate with the grade and remit of the post

Essential criteria

  • Strong Salesforce CRM experience (assessed at application)
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (assessed at application)
  • Hands-on experience with Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Audience Builder (assessed at application)
  • Ability to design and implement marketing campaigns (assessed at interview)
  • Knowledge of data integration principles (assessed at interview)
  • Consulting and stakeholder engagement skills including experience in supporting and developing others (assessed at interview)
  • Knowledge of industry and sector CRM developments and innovations (assessed at interview)
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certification (assessed at application)

Desirable criteria

  • Experience with other marketing automation platforms (assessed at application)
  • Experience in educational sector implementations (assessed at application)
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles (assessed at interview)
