Overview
This is a key management role within the School with responsibility for managing data and administrative processes for Triple Crown, programmes accreditations and rankings, as well as managing the Data and Accreditation team. The post holder will ensure the School’s data requirements for accreditation and quality assurance are met, either through University reporting systems or bespoke data provision within the School. The postholder manages the administrative and reporting functions for all Triple Crown and programme accreditations, keeping abreast of changing standards and requirements of accrediting bodies.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Lead on data acquisition and management, developing and continuously improving the use of information to support accreditation and other activities. Lead the development of a data system with School staff and University central services.
- Manage and present large volumes of complex data to support data needs of the School, primarily to support the accreditation and quality assurance processes.
- Develop and maintain all management processes for accreditation activities at both School and programme level and lead on the administrative process for accreditation requirements, including self-assessment reports, base rooms and visits.
- Contribute to the School’s accreditation reporting, data provision and qualitative and quantitative analysis, supporting the School’s Senior Executive Team.
- Manage the collection and preparation of evidence for the accreditation process, to meet differing accreditation criteria.
- Keep the Senior Executive Team informed of changing accreditation requirements, timelines and progress towards meeting standards and requirements.
- Liaise with external accreditation and ranking bodies to establish and maintain an excellent working relationship to ensure compliance.
- Take responsibility for providing data for international rankings which the School is involved with and provide analysis of league table information/rankings information regarding the School and its relevant programmes to the Executive Board.
- Provide a secretariat service to the Accreditation and Internationalisation Committees.
- Attend appropriate conferences, workshops and networking events, representing the School to keep up to date with changing accreditation standards and requirements.
- Act as advisor and ambassador for accreditation to members of the School.
- Line management of the Data and Accreditation team.
- Support the management of the School’s accreditation-related budgets.
- Act as a point of contact for staff regarding information security and data protection (including GDPR).
- Be an active member of the School’s Professional Services Management Group, working with the School Manager to ensure the professional services function supports effective delivery of SUMS strategic aims and priorities.
- Produce and maintain written documentation detailing processes and procedures related to own role, to enable cover in absence.
