Overview
Join our new Student Success and Inclusion Team at the University of Sheffield as a Senior Administrator (Student Success and Inclusion). As part of Education Development Services, you will join a highly skilled and impactful team committed to supporting and enhancing the delivery of education at the University.
As a Senior Administrator (Student Success and Inclusion) you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Student Success and Inclusion team, supporting the development and delivery of student success and inclusion initiatives, projects, or portfolios of work. You will work closely with the Student Success and Inclusion Advisers to provide administrative support for workshops, events, and resources designed to enhance student success and inclusive educational practice. You will support the delivery of the Student Success and Inclusion Team’s communication strategy including creating web content and maintaining the team’s website(s).
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting delivery of interventions which benefit all students, and particularly those from widening participation and underrepresented backgrounds. This role is instrumental to supporting the University's Access and Participation Plan (APP) commitments, as well as our wider student-centred and inclusive education agenda.
Main duties and responsibilities

Support the development and delivery of student success and inclusion initiatives, projects, or portfolios of work, as directed by the Student Success and Inclusion Manager.

Work closely with the Student Success and Inclusion Advisers to provide administrative support for workshops, events, and resources designed to enhance student success and inclusive educational practice, including scheduling workshops, preparing and maintaining workshop resources, room bookings, and collecting and collating attendance data.

Provide administrative support for the evaluation and continuous improvement of student success activities.

Maintain accurate records of student interactions and outcomes, contributing to monitoring and reporting for APP and related purposes.

Support the delivery of the Student Success and Inclusion Team’s communication strategy including creating web content and maintaining the team’s website(s) to ensure that information is up-to-date, accurate and meeting the needs of the team.

Provide front line services to staff, students and key stakeholders; dealing with enquiries in an efficient, friendly and professional manner; interpreting requirements; providing advice and guidance, and signposting as appropriate.

Provide high level administrative support to the Student Success and Inclusion Team.

Develop expertise relevant to the area of work (e.g. use of systems, expert knowledge, process management) to maximise the value and quality of support provided.

Monitoring budgets and leading procurement processes such as raising requisitions on Jobshop.
